This online hearing test is not performed under controlled listening conditions. Results provide a preliminary indication of hearing acuity and are intended to provide guidance regarding whether further diagnostic assessment may be beneficial. The online hearing test results do not replace an audiological assessment/audiogram and cannot be compared to previous hearing results. For a more accurate measurement of your hearing abilities, please contact your local Audika clinic.

Our online hearing test begins with four simple questions about your hearing in everyday situations. Then you will complete a tone test. Afterward, you’ll listen to 3 short conversations with background noise present. After hearing each discussion, you’ll be asked a question. Your answers may show how well you heard what was said in the conversations. Once you have completed the online hearing test, you’ll get instant feedback on how you performed.

If the online hearing test indicates that you may have some hearing difficulty or hearing difficulty, you will have the opportunity to book a FREE* hearing check with one of our hearing care experts.

*FREE hearing checks are only available to adults aged 18 years or older. Please note if you have been referred to us by your GP/ENT for a diagnostic test, this may attract a charge.

If the online hearing test indicates you may have some hearing difficulty or hearing difficulty, we provide you with an opportunity to request an appointment with one of our hearing care specialists. Many people use an online hearing test or hearing test apps to get an indication of their hearing ability. No online hearing test results can be completely accurate, for example, because it is impossible to ensure the sound levels you hear are precisely calibrated, among other reasons.

One approach is to combine self-evaluation questions and listening tests using background noise, because they assess your ability to discern speech from noise, without needing to guarantee absolute sound levels.

However, the only way to test your hearing properly is to visit a hearing care expert.
