Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC)

You may be eligible for funded hearing aids through the Accident Compensation Corporation(1), if your hearing loss is a result of workplace noise exposure or attributed to an accident.

We are here to help eligible clients through the ACC funding process.

ACC offers different levels of funding for hearing aids depending on the cause and extent of your hearing loss. The amount funded will depend on how much of your hearing loss is attributable to noise exposure that occurred during your employment or hearing loss due to trauma. Audika can assist with funding towards your hearing aids if your ACC claim is accepted2.

If your claim is accepted, ACC contributes financial support towards the purchase of hearing aids, appointments, batteries, repairs & maintenance. ACC funding support for new hearing aids is available once every six years.

How do I find out if I am eligible for funding?

The first step is to book a FREE* hearing check at your local Audika clinic, to identify if your hearing test results meet the criteria to access ACC funding.

If your hearing loss is the result of workplace noise exposure or an accident, you may be eligible for funding from ACC.  Many factors are considered as part of the claim and this includes, your age any family history of hearing loss and any other causes of hearing loss.

If your ACC claim is not accepted, you may be entitled to Ministry of Health hearing funding1 or hearing aid subsidy funding1. Your clinician will be the best person to discuss potential funding avenues available to you.
