How do I find out if I am eligible for funding?

The first step is to book a hearing check at your local Audika clinic, to identify if your hearing test results are likely to meet the criteria for ACC cover.

If your hearing loss is the result of prolonged workplace noise exposure or a treatment injury or a traumatic event, you may be eligible for funding from ACC.  Many factors are considered as part of the claim and this includes, your age any family history of hearing loss and any other causes of hearing loss. 

If your ACC claim is not accepted, you may be entitled to funding under the Disability Support Service hearing aid funding scheme¹ or the hearing aid subsidy scheme¹. Your clinician will be the best person to discuss potential funding avenues available to you.
